Today I am a bit overwhelmed with all that has happened to our family over the last year.  Specifically adding another life to our family.  The boys and I went to the Y today.  I got some cardio in, and then picked up Jaxon and left Grayson in day care.  Jax and I went to the pool for some much needed one on one time.  Last time I had Jaxon at the pool, was last summer, and he was just an itty bitty and all we did was sit in the wading pool in the shade.  Now he is walking all over the place, making new friends and having a ball.  I can't believe how fast he is growing, it makes me a little sad that I don't have more time to give him.  He is so happy and giggly when he has my full attention, I feel awful that I can't give him that all the time.  That said......I am SO thankful for my sweetest first born, and all he is becoming.  He is a joy to behold and I can not wait to see all that God has in store for him.  

Jaxon's First time in his Pool

Here are way too many photos of Jaxon playing in his pool and eating a popsicle for the first time.  Both things were probably a little too cold for him and his face shows that.  He also was helping Josh set up the grill for dinner :)

Wingstock 5.27

Wingstock is a wing recipe competition that our friends host every Memorial Day weekend.  Josh has entered as a "cooker" for the past three years.  His first entry was just a few hours after we found out we were pregnant with Jaxon, and Josh took all that energy and put it into his recipe and WON on his first try.  The second year he lost to a bacon wrapped wing.  Which I don't know if you can really consider losing, since the winner essentially cheated by adding bacon :)  This year he entered with a Teriyaki style wing and crushed the competition; winning for the second time!  Jaxon enjoyed playing with the other kids there and Grayson did a lot of dozing off.  Here are a few photos from our afternoon.

We had a Florida-esque burst of rain this afternoon and Jaxon was in Heaven!  He was so happy playing in the rain and splashing around.  He was "cooking" on the grill and playing on his climber, and running from seat to seat on the deck.  He did not want to come in when I called him, and he would run over and close the door I had opened and run away waiting for me to chase him.  Here are a few photos.
