6 month/4 month (prenatal) stats

Jaxon had his 6 month appointment this afternoon and is doing great! He is still on this insane growth course and maintains his greater than 95% in both height and weight. He has been holding steady at 23.5lbs for the past 6 weeks. Meaning he is thinning out :( He has lost 1 fat roll each in his leg and arm and his signature pot belly is now just a regular belly. He is by no means slender, don't get me wrong. He is still beautiful, but just not my sweet rolly polly anymore.

Also had my first appointment at the Birth Center this morning for baby #2. This baby is at the end of week 16. All my blood work/numbers came back excellent. She told me that I had a very slow heart rate and she was quite excited to hear it. Said my exercise was really paying off cardiovascuarly. Little did she know I haven't done much the last few weeks with the heat waves and travel, but it is still good to hear that the baby and me are in good "shape" thus far. We are set up to see this next baby again at the end of September and if he or she cooperates we will find out who is in there!

Josh's Vaca

Josh had a pretty rough week of vacation. Not a lot to do, horrible weather, stuck working, no time for Jaxon.....here are some of the photos of his week.

Jax in the water...

Water this year was a bit too cold for a baby, so Jaxon didn't get into his little floatie thing, just sat in the surf and splashed; which seems to be his new favorite thing whether it is in a lake, ocean, or bath. He also got his first look at the sea doo and is itching to drive it ASAP!

Making New Friends

Jaxon had a lot going on while we were up in the mountains last week. He met Cory, my cousin, and her kids, so his second cousins--I think--Win and LaLa. They had a few gifts for him and were very excited to give them to him. Win guessed that Jaxon was 2 1/2. He was so excited for a boy cousin that he ran to his room and brought out his lacross sticks and asked us if Jaxon could play. So cute!! It was heartbreaking to tell him Jaxon was too little to play lacross. So Win resigned that they would play next year, didn't have the heart to tell him that was probably not happening either.

We had a bonfire and invited all our friends over one night, one of the the families has 6 girls! Needless to say Jaxon was a huge hit with them. This last photo is of him on his favorite swing making eyes at the 6 year old. My son loves his cougars :)

Jaxon's 6 month photos

Here are a few of Jaxon's 6 month photos. He is such a doll! He is sitting up on his own now, and has gotten 2 teeth. The teeth happened right around the 5 month mark. He is speeding around the house in his motorcycle walker and is playing with the dogs a lot.

We have been going on long weekend trips for the last 2 months so I feel like all we do is pack and unpack. We got back last night from our last trip for a while, so I am glad to be home and get back to our normal routine. I am planning on signing Jaxon up for swimming lessons at the YMCA this fall. Also working on getting Jaxon's big boy room set up. Not really a big boy room yet since he will still have a crib, but now that I am into my 2nd trimester and getting some of my energy back I am wanting to get these projects done around the house before I get too big to want to move. It is already hard to hold Jaxon for any period of time, my back screams if I hold him for more than a minute or two.

Josh has been really busy also at his 9-5 (Hajoca) and his own business is giving him more work than he can handle--which is a good thing. Overall we are really busy, and hoping to slow down soon.

Jaxon's 6 monnth check up is later this week, so we will have updates soon!

Down the Shore

During our weekend with the TX side of the family, we took a quick trip to the boardwalk during the older kids "nap time" since Jaxon was in bed before they all went down in the evenings. He loved all the lights but was pretty much over the rides as soon as they started. On the merry-go-round he sat right up and grabbed the pole, I couldn't believe it! He got his first Phillies hat during this trip too. Jaxon and I fell asleep often during this trip. One of the last photos is at a gelato shop, Jaxon was hopeful that Daddy would give him some. I apologize for the brevity of these last few posts. I am more tired than I can express. Hoping for some relief soon....

Meeting the Hunninghakes for the first time!

We took Jaxon to the Ocean City shore for a few days this past weekend where he met his TX cousins for the first time! Sam wasn't very interested in the cousin photo shoot but we got some good shots of Jaxon with Joseph and McKenzie. We also got to meet with some of Josh's Uncles and Aunts; Uncle Bob, Aunt Judy and Aunt Pat. Jaxon was a ham smiling at everyone and rolling all over the floor for photos.
