Jaxon is 5 months old today!

My sweet baby boy is 5 months old today! Time is moving way too fast. He is growing at what seems like an alarming rate. He is in 9month clothes and is ready (has been ready) to move up to his new car seat. He has been sitting up on his own, sort of. He is good for a minute or two and then falls over. A little more practice and then he will be good on his own. He is loving his "real food" with sweet potatoes and blueberries with bananas being his favorites. HE is still talking up a storm, babbling away wherever he sits. He is also very good at the motorboat sound, so cute! He remains a constantly happy baby, always armed with a smile and a giggle for anyone who greets him. He is still teething but isn't making that big of a deal out of it. He is such a trooper. We continue to go on walks each day which he loves! He is enjoying all the new sights and sounds he can take in now that he faces out in the stroller. We have also been spending a lot of time at the Y getting him used to the water.

Check out how fly his kicks are!!

Meeting the Deinleins for the First Time!

FINALLY Jaxon gets to meet some of the Rigstad side of the family YAY!! (besides Nana who came up soon after his birth). Delaney and Kate were SO excited to meet Jaxon and were very willing to help with everything and anything he needed. We played all afternoon in the water and the girls, and Tammi and Eric actually, got a ride on the seadoo. Delaney even managed to throw Eric and herself off while driving :) The girls enjoyed the hammocks also!

Our July trip to the Glass House

A lot happened on Jaxon's second trip to the Glass House. He was in a river for the first time, met my Uncle Charlie for the first time, did some teething, and had a blast hanging out with his Uncles (and Aunt Lindsey!). He upped his amount of food in his morning spoon feeding from 2oz to 4oz over this trip. He absolutely LOVED the hammocks. Made us think about putting in one of the hammock swings somewhere at our house! We were on our way to a bowling adventure one night when we passed a bluegrass festival, so of course we had to stop. Jaxon was asleep in the back of the car so the transfer to the carrier with Uncle Dave was a smooth one :) Also on this trip he was the vessel used to let my parents know of our little bun in the oven.

Canal Day

Last Sunday we attended Canal Day here in Phoenixville with our friends Val, Steve and Miles Cap. Our favorite local band, Holt 45, was playing so we set up "camp" and hung out for the afternoon. There was food vendors, people selling their crafts, and live bands. It was beautiful weather and a fun afternoon. Jaxon was in his rock gear and made a good impression on the band :) Miles spent the time reading the Canal Day flyer. Those blue eyes are to die for!
