I'm sure this will sound ridiculous, but I want to publicly declare my love of central air conditioning. I don't know that I would survive the hot and humid northeast summers without it.

17 & 5
Against my wishes, my boys continue to grow up. It is all going so fast it makes my head spin.
Grayson is such a chunky cutie I just want to spend all day kissing his little feet and his chubby cheeks. He is getting better at eating, and his favorite is sweet potatoes. He is now scooting and rolling all over the place. He can roll over--which is the "big" news this month. He also loves to play with his feet. He is working on sitting up and can do short stints before he crashes to the floor. This blanket he is holding has become his favorite, he clutches onto it all day long. He is so tall it wont be long before he needs a new car seat. For now he is still in his baby car seat and that will not last much longer as his feet hang over the edge. Such a doll!
Jaxon is learning more and more every minute. He is coloring up a storm, loves to sit and "read" books and play with his friends and toys in the playroom. Below are photos of him packing for a LONG trip (as evidence by the full trunk--note the golf clubs sticking out of the bed). He was checking the engine and doors to make sure all was safe :) He is gabbing up a storm with words and phrases becoming more understandable. Probably not to a stranger, but being with him everyday I can hear what he is saying.
I think I am going to break out the jogging stroller finally and put him in it. I have been doing our walks with the tandem double stroller but the further we start to go (we've been doing around 3 miles most days) the easier of a ride it will be for them and an easier steering experience it will be for me with the jogger. I have been putting it off because I feel like it will solidify that he is not a baby if he doesn't need the car seat :( But it is time to move on.
Norview Farm with Flynn 7.12
Today we went to Norview Farm with Flynn and Rowan. Flynn is an old pro and was at ease feeding the goats, giggling his little head off. Jaxon on the other hand was much more tentative. He wanted to eat the animal food instead of feed it to the goats. He only wanted to admire from afar. But when it cam to the ducks (or geese--not sure what they are exactly) he was totally into it. He was even yanking on the door trying to open the cage. Good times with good friends :)

Deinlein/Rigstad visit 7.9
Yesterday we went back to NJ to visit with the Rigstads. Josh's sister Tammi and her girls came up from MD to celebrate their birthdays as well. Jaxon had a great time playing with the girls, swimming and eating cake. Grayson got passed around and was looking as big as ever. We saw the girls right around this time last year and I didn't think Jaxon was that big until I looked back at the photos and he looks huge on Kate's lap; and now these photos have Grayson looking huge sitting with her and Jaxon looking like an actual little boy--no more baby :( Lots of cousin love to spread around!!
